Formerly roommates, Colby Covington is not cutting Jon Jones any slack after his most recent run in with the law concerning an alleged incident at a “strip club.” Talking to Submission Radio, Colby had this to say about Jones:
“I wasn’t surprised. He’s done a lot of stupid things in the past but he’s making progress. He didn’t actually hit a lady when he was intoxicated and then flee from the scene. He didn’t have two hookers in the back of his car and wrap his Bentley around a pole. So, we got to be thankful that he’s making a lot of progress in his career and in his social life.”
Covington, who is set to face Robbie Lawler at UFC on ESPN 5 on August 3rd in Newark, New Jersey, does not shy away from a potential confrontation with Jones in the near future.
“I look forward to the day that me and Jon Jones are reunited at last, since those college days. We’re going to have a good talk, and I look forward to it, I embrace it.”
