Khabib Nurmagomedov will face Tony Ferguson on April 18th, 2020 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Previously booked on multiple occasions but never materialized due to a number of injuries and pullouts, Ferguson will look to upset the current Lightweight champion who has only lost one round in his entire UFC Career. Both men are currently on a 12 fight win streak in the UFC, and Nurmagomedov remains undefeated (28-0).
The Dagestan champion was last seen in action in a dominant submission win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi where he won via Rear Naked Choke in the 3rd round of the championship fight.
There’s a lot of time left so lets hope that both of these guys can make it to the cage healthy unlike all the previous attempts to book this match before. Khabib’s style and grappling prowess appear to be too much for any man at 155 lbs in the Octagon. While Tony Ferguson can cause problems for any opponent with his pace, cardio, submissions and elbows, Khabib should dominate this fight and make it look similar to a lot of his most recent performances.
