While many UFC analysts and fans agree that Dominick Reyes may be an opponent that can stylistically cause current UFC Light Heavyweight Champ Jon Jones problems inside the Octagon, Jones sees the match-up different: he’s been there and done that before.

Talking with BTSport, when asked whether Reyes offers anything that he hasn’t seen before inside the cage, Jones had the following to say:

Not really, no. But I won’t know until the fight happens. Just looking at the fight, I’ve fought undefeated guys before, I’ve fought tall guys before, I’ve fought guys with knockout power before, I’ve fought left handed fighters before. My job is to just know that I’m the hunter, and to just go out there and what I do.”

Jones (25-1-1) returns to the Octagon for the first time since July of 2019, where he won a split decision over contender Thiago Santos.

Reyes (12-0) is coming off of a first round KO victory over former Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman.

The two are set to square off Saturday February 8th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas as the UFC 247 main event. The card with be co-headlined by women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko vs Katlyn Chookagian.
