After suffering a loss to Charles Oliviera at UFC Fight Night 170: Brasilia, Kevin Lee appears to be unsure of his next move. The 27 year old fighter was seen by many as being a future UFC Champion. Now, Lee is unsure if we will see him re-enter the Octagon within the next “few years.”
“I felt like the fight was going good. I just got choked. I really can’t put it nothing else but that.”
“The first 2 rounds I felt like I stuck to the gameplan. Then I said, in the corner in the 3rd (round), and told them I was going to switch up the gameplan. And looking back on it, I abandoned it, and that was the wrong move.”
I need to evaluate somethings. I felt like my camp was great. My coaches told me all the right things to do. I abandoned it. It’s all on me on this one. It’s going to be, maybe a few years or so.”
Lee finds himself 2-4 in his last 6 fights, with 3 of those losses coming via submission. He also has missed weight at 155 lbs for 2 of those fights.
